Starts Friday, May 8

In this black comedy of middle-aged masculinity gone awry, Academy Award winner Jean Dujardin (The Artist) is a recent divorcee who becomes obsessed with a vintage fringed deerskin jacket that begins to exert an uncanny hold on him. Set in a sleepy French alpine village, he falls into the guise of an independent filmmaker and befriends a trusting bartender and aspiring editor (Adèle Haenel, Portrait of a Lady on Fire) who becomes his collaborator on a movie that will document a surprising new goal he sets himself.

“Funny and pointed…. It’s really just one joke, scrupulously played out at feature length.” – A. A. Dowd, A.V. Club

“A cross between BARTON FINK and HENRY: PORTRAIT OF A SERIAL KILLER…. A warped fable of no great consequence, though the fact that it holds you, for 77 minutes, is a testament to the debauched rigor of Dupieux’s filmmaking.” – Owen Gleiberman, Variety

“DEERSKIN, as bat-s**t crazy as it is, marks the filmmaker’s most cohesive, and funniest, feature yet.” – Alex Saveliev, Film Threat

“Jean Dujardin is dressed to kill…. A story of a fetish, of a codependent relationship between an inanimate object and a swell-headed man that, like many of the most passionate love affairs, can only end in tragedy.” – Ella Kemp, Little White Lies
