Help Ensure Our Future!

The Michigan Theater Foundation is not associated with the University of Michigan or the City of Ann Arbor. We rely on the generosity of the community to provide the 40% of our budget that we do not generate via ticket sales and rental revenue. It is because of gifts from donors and members like you that we are able to show excellent films and host live events for generations to come.

Michigan Theater Foundation Memberships provide numerous benefits, including discounts on movie and live event tickets, concessions, bar access, parking passes, and more. You can choose from four different membership levels, starting at only $35 a year!

Gift Memberships

Gift Memberships are a great way to show someone you care and introduce them to the movie palace splendor of the Michigan Theater and State Theatre.

Gift Certificates

Give the gift of entertainment and cheer with a Michigan Theater Foundation gift certificate (available electronically and as a hard copy). Great for loved ones, friends, co-workers, and really anyone who just needs a night out… who knows they might just let you tag along!

Donations help us pay for everything from LED light bulbs for our marquee and chandeliers, to tickets to our family theater series for children who cannot afford to attend, to a day of heating during the cold winter months. Donations of all amounts are welcomed and much appreciated!
