Once again, the Michigan Theater will be the coolest place in town during the annual Ann Arbor Art Fairs Wednesday, July 15 through Saturday, July 18.
The theater's Grand Foyer is open all day for weary fairgoers needing an air-conditioned breather from the bedlam out on the streets. Food and beverages will be available including grilled bratwurst sandwiches, hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks, beer, wine and bottled water.
Visitors will be treated to FREE organ concerts on the theater's 1927 Barton Pipe organ at 1:30 pm each day Wednesday through Saturday.
And for those who prefer to stay out in the sun, Zingerman’s Creamery will be serving up gelato, sandwiches and cold coffee drinks out in front of the theater from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm Wednesday-Friday and 10:00 am until 6:00 pm on Saturday.
During the Art Fair, the theater obtains a special license so alcohol sales are available to the public with valid ID, not only to members. Guests can choose to enjoy their food and beverages at large tables in the air-conditioned Grand Foyer or pick up a sandwich and a bottle of water to go.
Movie offerings for the week include ICE AGE: DAWN OF THE DINOSAURS in 3-D, CHERI, starring Michelle Pfeiffer and SUMMER HOURS, starring Juliette Binoche. Please visit our web site for a complete schedule and show times: http://michtheater.org.
