Election Night 2008 will be momentous in more ways than one.  Wear your "I voted" sticker to the Michigan Theater for free admission to either of our film offerings on Tuesday, November 4.
 
Participate! See election results as they are reported on the Micro Cinema Gallery monitors in the Grand Foyer and in the Screening Room lobby. 
 
Choose one of our two tasty film programs:
• Happy-Go-Lucky (2008):  Just how hard is it to be happy? In the effervescent new comedy from writer/director Mike Leigh (Vera Drake, Secrets & Lies), Sally Hawkins stars as Poppy, an irrepressibly free-spirited school teacher who brings an infectious laugh and an unsinkable sense of optimism to every situation she encounters. Rated R. 118 minutes.
• 2008 Sundance Short Films: A selection of outstanding short films from this year’s festival shown in partnership with the Sundance Institute Art House Project.  Unrated. 102 minutes.
