Back for the 59th annual US tour, Warren Miller’s
latest sports thriller, Children of Winter, comes to the
Michigan Theater on Saturday, November 8 at 8:00 pm.
The high-definition winter sports documentary features spectacular
footage from Japan, Austria, British Columbia, Alaska, Iceland
and more.
Fans of Miller’s work expect world-class athletes
– Children of Winter is no exception. It features
Jonny Moseley, Daron Rahlves, Wendy Fisher, Marco Sullivan,
Seth Westcott and Gerry Lopez. The soundtrack is as
star-studded as the sports action, with music from Radiohead,
Michael Franti and Spearhead, Beck and others.
“When it’s cold and snowing, others run inside.
But skiers and snowboarders do the opposite, no matter how
old we are,” said Max Bervy, director and producer.
“We are all the Children of Winter, and if you ski
or ride, this movie reaffirms what we all know, that we’re
lucky to know the shortest, coldest days of the year.”
Tickets go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10:00 am. Admission
is $20.00 for “Superfan” reserved seats, $15.00
general admission and $12.00 kids 12 years old and younger.
Tickets will be available at Sun & Snow Sports, online
at Ticketmaster.com and at all Ticketmaster outlets including
Macy's and the Michigan Union Ticket Office. To charge by
phone, call (248) 645-6666.
Sun & Snow Sports is sponsoring the Ann Arbor screenings.
The national tour of Children of Winter is sponsored by
