Nugget & Fang

Sunday, October 7 at 1:30 PM.

About the Show
ArtsPower’s under-the-sea musical tells the story of Nugget, a minnow, and Fang, a shark, who get along swimmingly – until Nugget’s first day of minnow school. There, Nugget learns that minnows are supposed to be afraid of sharks! To regain Nugget’s trust, Fang takes desperate and hilarious measures. Nothing goes as planned. Fang is moping in deep waters when he notices that Nugget and his minnow schoolmates are caught up in some big trouble (and one very big net). Holy mackerel! Can Fang save the day and prove he’s a true friend? Based on the book “Nugget & Fang” by Tammi Sauer.

Peg + Cat – LIVE!

Saturday, February 23 at 4:00 PM

About the Show
Based on the Emmy-winning PBS Kids show PEG + CAT (produced by The Fred Rogers Company and 9 Story Entertainment), this totally awesome musical features wild comedy, countless favorite songs from the show, and Peg’s super coolest pal Ramone! When Peg’s Mom asks Peg and Cat to mail some really important letters they come face to face with a really big dog. Really Big Problem! To solve it, they’ll need math—bar graphs, size comparison, position words, fair sharing, and a whole lot of counting. They’ll also need to count on each other, and the audience too, for their problem to be solved.

Junie B. Jones

Sunday, April 7 at 1:30 PM

About the Show
Dear first-grade journal…Hooray, hooray! TheatreworksUSA is making a musical (that is a play all jumbled together with singing and dancing, I believe). And what do you know! It’s all about me, Junie B. Jones! This is the bestest musical ever, I tell you! It’s got loads of funny songs, and it’s based on a bunch of books this lady, Barbara Park, wrote about me and the things I do in first grade. Whew! I’m glad I can write everything down in my Top-Secret Personal Beeswax Journal! And you know what? I think I might like first grade after all!
